  1. Lou says:

Hey, guys, it’s Lou here. Yes, Shannon and I collaborated on the Bear Woof! app. Thanks for ripping my heart out and handing it to me on a silver platter. ;-)

I’m always looking for feedback, positive or not, so feel free to leave comments. Actually, more people comment about the Bear Runs part of it than the Woofing part of it. Do you find it useful? What would you like to see in a bear app? Would a bear app on an iPad make sense?

    Thanks,

    Lou

  2. Gary says:

The discussion about the ‘BEAR Magazine’ identity concepts I think is about the progression of society at large. Reflect back on the norms of society at the time the original incarnation. Those norms of body types were promoted thru the magazine’s photo spreads. Over the decades, society has changed and for Americans, we have progressively grown larger. Brian definitively prefers the larger build guys within the spectrum of the bear community. Others are drawn towards that which the editor was promoting in the article read aloud. That said, it is regretful that an international circulated publication is choosing to negate portions of the larger community, especially that within its own nation. Hopefully the community at large will not develop into what the editor desires.

    • Dave says:

Very true Gary, great comments. While I prefer the opposite side of the spectrum I think the magazine would better serve it’s readers by changing the name to “Muscle Bears” or something like that. If they are going to put them self in a niche of a niche then they should identify themselves that way.
