Hey guys,

Thanks to Bears in the City I am listening now to your podcast too and I love it. Same format, different guys, great mix. Only listened to the first 3 episodes so far but I am already hooked. Laughing out loud when I do my walk workout on the street and people give me funny looks (but maybe that is because of the spendex I wear). :-) Anyway, looking forward to hear more and connect the voices to the faces. Recognition will take a bit.

Thanks for another highlight in the wonderful world of bears,

Marco

P.s. I just ordered Dave White's 'Exile in Guyville' from Amazon.DE, as mentioned in Podcast 3. I just love David Sedaris so I had to get this. :-)

Just listened to this podcast. Great one as always, gentlemen! I was wondering if you could post the links for the videos Brian was talking about at the end of the podcast. They sounded glorious and I want to see them. Thanks and have a good one!

Just heard your latest. Great as always, guys! I was wondering if you could provide links for the clips Brian mentions at the end of the show. I hope it isn't too much of a problem. Thanks and have a good one!

Another great podcast, guys.

Brian, if I may disagree about the tax issue - The whole purpose of taxes is to redistribute a part of the circulating money so it benefits everybody.

Ideally, everybody should pay taxes according to what they make, and that money would go into making well-maintained roads and streets, well equiped and trained police and fire corps, good public schools, an efficient public transportation system, good public hospitals (yeah, I know this one is a very hot topic over there these days) etc, etc, etc.

It's not, as I see it, punishing people for making money at all - It's making people contribute proportionally so that the government can assure that certain services that it must provide are available and running smoothly so it benefits EVERYONE. Especially in the case of big companies, like BP, that get all sorts of incentives to operate whenever a city or state wants that kind of business in their place.

The problem is when tax money isn't well managed to corruption and/or incompetence. Then the people don't get the services they should get (or get those services in a shoddy way) AND THEN taxes become just another burden on people, truly a punishment for making money.

Hey 619 bears! Hope you're doing well.

Art Dominguez here, a call center agent / freelance writer from the Philippines. I'm a fairly new listener who discovered the podcast through Nard's Bearpodcast and Btalk.

I just want to commend you guys for great, thought-provoking (and sometimes hilariously banal or totally off-the-hinge) topics every episode and good anecdotes-- overall, an awesome podcast listening experience since I started downloading your show late last year. You just never failed to make me think and laugh out loud within every show and I thank you deeply for that. You've helped me through every sickeningly mundane week at work here in bear-less Pasig City, Philippines. Although I have to admit the past few months' episode schedule irregularity saddens me.

And as I mentioned Btalk, just when is Shannon making his self-redeeming return on the show? The first time he came on he had the personality of a cast iron skillet. This was obviously the complete opposite of his Btalk incarnation.

Also,I think JP's the hottest and I've had a crush on the guys since I started listening. Don't get me wrong, all the 619 Bearcast hosts are teh hotness, but there's something about JP that's gotten me genuinely swooning. And not to sound online stalker-esque, but I've spent many afternoons staring at his Flickr page admiring his handsome face and perfectly shaped beard. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time he’s been complimented. And can't help but feel warm inside every time I see a picture where his lips are curved into a smile.

The only problem is that on the podcast, I still can't tell the difference between JP and Vito. Their voices sound the same.

Anyway, this has been a pretty too long a letter. Kudos on your great podcast!

Hey guys I love your podcast. I just started listening to it a couple months ago and am now catching up on past episodes. I just wanted to comment on the "bear" community. I was late coming out, I was 32, living in Seattle. I knew I loved hairy men from the time I was younger, yes Merlin Olsen was hot. I picked up a copy of the gay news and read up about the local bear group and that sounded like what I was interested in. Long story short, I know too late, the bear community was a great way for me to come out. They were very accepting, mostly because I was new meat, but I had a really good feeling about the group. That being said I know how society works and we never get away from the whole "grouping" social aspect. I like that the bears were accepting and maybe they have evolved into something a little off the original ideals that started it. The older I have gotten the more I realize with anything I just take what is useful to me and leave the rest. So I look at the bear community for what it is, social networking, lots of eye candy, and just a chance to be around what really turns me on. Thank you for listening to my rant.
On a side note bad breath is a deal breaker. lol I love to kiss.

Hi Guys

Long Time Listener, First time writer....
Anyway, was listening to your latest and your interview with Dale and came up with a couple questions:
What about dating someone who was an escort? or a sex worker? or even a massage therapist that gives happy endings?
Is Dale in a relationship? What did his partner think about it?
What about those guys that are gay for pay?? Could you be 'straight for pay? Could any of you bump uglies with some tasty cougar to make your rent? What if you found out your bf was doing a chick? or doing a chick for cash?
Just some things that crossed my mind as listened to your last show on the way to school this bright and cheery wednesday in LA!

Love you all
Ray

PS - to JP, I had no idea what that Patrick Dempsey movie was, so I didn't scream at the radio.

Wow! Thanks for the message Randy. Personally I enjoy it when we have guests because I feel like it give us all a chance to know them better. Rusty has told us that if he is in town and has the time he will record with us. Fingers crossed.

And you can mention B-Talk by name. All those guys are good friends of ours and one of them (Shannon) is even living here in the 619 now.... hmmm... maybe we should ask him to guest. :)

Anywho, thank you for listening and for your comments. They mean a lot to all of us.
